It was Noel’s wish that this should be read at our services on the Sunday following his funeral …
Noel Battye would like you to know, as his friends, that he slipped away quietly and peacefully and now rests in the family plot at Rossmire Parish Church, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford, where you’ll always be welcome to say ‘hello’, even if there isn’t a cup of tea available.
He thanks you for your prayers, love and support over the years, which he valued very much.
He also adds this … “In the meantime, you are to take good care of Jono, who I know will take good care of you, my most valuable property in this life. Remember, a good thing is worth taking care of.”
Noel also requested no flowers but said, if desired, a donation could be made to Marie Curie or bulbs bought which could be planted in the Church grounds.
