Easter Sunday Holy Communion

You are very welcome to join with us this morning for our service of Holy Communion.  If you are watching the video you will see that the responses and the parts of the service which are usually said together will appear on the screen. We encourage you to join with these parts as if we were in the Church on any other Easter Sunday morning.

If you would like to follow the service, we are using Holy Communion 2 which begins on page 201 of the Book of Common Prayer. When it comes to Communion, we are using Prayer 1 which starts on page 209.  If you do not have a Prayer Book to hand you can also download the service text by clicking here.

Our hymns are taken from St. Michael’s Singers at Coventry Cathedral, 2002  (copyright details available on the YouTube video).

The music during Communion was recorded by parishioners, the Hayward family, at their home.

Christ is risen!

The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!

We welcome the dawn on this Easter morning.  This past night is the night when Jesus overcame death, and on this morning, in the clear light of dawn, we see the reality and power of the resurrection. Christ is the light of the world. Because he lives, those who are in him will live eternally.

Risen Christ,

Make your presence known.
