We warmly welcome you to our service on this Advent Sunday, the beginning of the new Christian Year.
The Advent season is the four week period before Christmas that celebrates the anticipation and coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The origin of “advent” is from the Latin word adventus which simply translates “coming” or “arrival”.
Not only do we prepare for and celebrate the first coming of Jesus Christ, his birth at Christmas, but we also anticipate Jesus returning again, his second coming.
