7th November – Services of Thanksgiving & Remembrance

We warmly welcome you to our services on this special Sunday, as we remember, with thanksgiving, those from our parish who have died in the past year. We gather together in person and remotely to support their families; to surround them with our love and our prayers.

At the heart of our services today is the conviction that, for those who know and love Christ, death is not the end. We are all called to put our faith in him; to commit our lives to him and to serve him faithfully all our days.

Father of all mercies and God of all consolation, you pursue us with untiring love and dispel the shadow of death with the bright dawn of life. Give courage to these families in their loss and sorrow. Be their refuge and strength in the days ahead, reassure them of your continuing love and lift them into the peace and light of your presence; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
